Amy completed her social work student placement with the charity and during this time she became a very valued member of the sessional team. Whilst working for the Local Authority, as a qualified social worker, Amy continued to work as a sessional worker for Kool Carers. Amy was recently employed full time by the charity as a Family Support Worker. Amy is extremely passionate in her role and always goes over and above to secure the most positive outcomes for the families that she works alongside. Her dedication and commitment to her role is truly inspirational. She is extremely creative and has the ability to think outside the box. She has a unique ability to form positive relationships with everyone she works with, she has earnt the respect of young carers and staff alike and is a wonderful role model to not only all the young carers, but also the LGBTQIA+ community. Well done Amy, you are so deserving of this award.
