Family BBQ & Planetarium Fun Day
On the 31st August, we held our family fund raising afternoon, which this year was in aid of Kool Carers and the Dyspraxia Foundation. We raised just over £300.00 and we sent a cheque to the Dyspraxia Foundation for £150.00, for which Nasia received a lovely reply.
It was a wonderful afternoon and I would like to say a big thank you to Nasia who came up with all the ideas for the fun day and helped to organise the whole event, you were brilliant, well done.
Another big thank you to Mark for the awesome planetarium shows which he facailitated throughout the whole afternoon.
I must also mention all the young carers who participated in the Junior Bake Off, you all did amazingly well, the cakes all looked incredible and were totally scrumptious!! The overall winner was Olivia, so well done to her.
We will hopefully be organising another family fund raising event next year, so if any young carer would like to play a major part in organising the event like Nasia did this year, please let the staff team know. Whoever is selected will then be able to choose a charity of their choice and as like this year half the proceeds will be given to the chosen charity along with Kool Carers.
Finally, I would like to thank all our families, who came to support our event, we really enjoy having the opportunity of being able to get to know you and for you to be able to meet other families, so thank you for taking time out of your busy lives and for helping to make it a really enjoyable and fun afternoon.
