David Baker

I was born and raised in Southend and moved into the Basildon area when I married.  I have worked extensively within the banking and specialist hire industries. My current role is ‘training co-ordinator’ for the role out of a new computer system that standardises the practice across the UK and Europe. I have been a key factor in writing the training guides and have offered on site support to all the depots involved in the transition.  The skills that I have gained during my working life will help me support the charity particularly. 

 

I was honoured to be asked to be a trustee by Rachel as I have seen first hand the progress that young carers make when attending the programmes. My son is a young carer for my wife and without the support that Kool Carers provide, he would not be the confident young man he now is. 

 

I enjoy watching various sports and spending time with my family

 

I look forward to being able to assist the charity for the foreseeable future
