Colin Cambell

I am Colin and I have lived in Essex all my life and currently live in Stock with my wife Barbara and have three grown up children and four grandchildren and am a retired Company Director in the Construction and Shopfitting Industry.

 

I have been involved with service clubs most of my life through Round Table, Probus and more recently in Rotary as a member of Billericay Mayflower Rotary Club.

 

This is where I met Rachel when we invited her to attend the Jamie Oliver Food for Thought program that was Championed by Jamie along with Rotary to offer a cookery experience to Young Carers on an eight week course to cook simple nutritious meals.

 

I am pleased to say that this turned out to be a great success and we have successfully run five sessions to date and we will hope to run more when the conditions allow.

 

Also through Our Rotary Club we have been pleased to support Rachel’s initiative to provide sandwiches and snacks for the fun Picnics held in Basildon.

 

I am honoured to be asked to be trustee of the Charity and certainly will be doing all I can to support Rachel with all her fantastic work with the young carers and their families.
