Kool Carers South East Ltd awarded £105,000 by BBC Children in Need
Kool Carers South East Ltd in Essex has been awarded a grant of £105,000 over 3 years by BBC Children in Need. This grant will fund the continuing service to support young carers abs their families and help make a difference to the lives of children and young people facing disadvantage right here in Basildon, Brentwood and Wickford.
Young carers will be provided with a safe environment, to gain professional support, whilst having the opportunity to participate in tailored group activities, where they can develop life-skills, gain new knowledge, attend therapeutic interventions and respite opportunities.We will work in partnership with young carers, their families and professionals in-order to safeguard, protect and secure positive outcomes for young carers.
With the support of BBC Children in Need, Kool Carers South East Ltd, will be able to continue reaching out to young carers in Basildon, Wickford and Brentwood, because the funding received will enable us to meet some of our crucial core costs.
Rachel Tungate (Founder & CEO) said, ” We could not reach out to young carers in Brentwood and the Basildon borough, without the support of BBC Children in Need. This grant will go on to change the lives of so many young people and give them the support they need.”
